Position as Director, Division of Science & Technology
In my current position I am teaching to postgraduate students and supervise their projects. On administration side, I am a member of various executive bodies to assists the Vice Chancellor in managing administrative & educational activities for the smooth functioning of the University particularly with regard to the core teaching and learning activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My role is to provide strategic direction and focus on undergraduate and post graduation research and education and steer these core activities towards international competitiveness. The responsibilities at this executive position also include providing impetus to and supporting the University’s vision, mission and strategic plan to reflect and enhance the University’s commitment. During my stay, the College had a network of 900+ computers and its own ISP. Each classroom was equipped with a multimedia projector, air-condition, LAN & Internet connectivity. Approximately 3000 students were enrolled in different programs and the College was making a saving of almost 40 million from a total income of 85 million per year.
